Extra spray Foam completed
My last post discussed my decision to fill the steel stud wall cavities with spray foam in order to deaded the room’s background sounds. By standards it was a small job – t00 small for many contractors. Although Russ Wikel of Great Lakes Insulation was booked, he was kind enough to come on Saturday, January 2. The gallery below provides a glimpse into the process. The photos show the masking required to protect the walls and floors from foam overspray. No one knows more about foam insulations than Russ and he is extremely thorough with everything he does. The goal was to deaded the tinny sound associated with steel stud wall construction. The extra work and expense paid off. The room is extremely quiet! It’s hard to even hear footsteps. I’m very happy with the results!
